Stingray Bay
This unique attraction allows you to interact with the zoo’s school of cow-nose stingrays. The 15,000-gallon interactive pool will allow you to watch these fantastic sea creatures ‘fly’ through the water.
You can dip your hand into the water to feel their unique skin and get closer to them while giving them shrimp and small fish. The price is $3 for the public and $2 for members.
Camel Rides
Want to feel the excitement of riding a camel? Well, you will have that opportunity here. Camel rides are one of the things that people go to in this zoo.
At last, you can experience what it feels like to get on top of a camel and have your picture taken with them to boot.
The price is $5 for members and $6 for the public. Each photo costs $5.
Kids and Family Programs
The Phoenix Zoo is an excellent place for kids and their families. There is a variety of educational programs that will connect children of all ages with wildlife.
Among the programs offered by the zoo are Farm Tots for kids aged 18 months to 2 years, Breakfast with the Animals (Ages 2 – 5 years), Gifts for the Animals for kids aged 2 to 5 years, Critter Keeper for children aged 6 to 10 years, Lunch with a Keeper for kids aged 6 to 10 years, Nature Explorers for kids aged 6 to 9 years, and Wild Science Academy for children aged 5 to 13 years.
Monkey Village
The Monkey Village is an open exhibit that you and your children will enjoy. It is where you will be greeted with squirrel monkeys scampering through the bushes and trees just inches away.
