How much is parking at the Omaha zoo?
You will have to pay around $3.00 per hour for parking at downtown lots and garages and $11 per 24 hours.
Long-term parking can be as cheap as $50.00 per month at some locations, though other locations might charge more depending on additional features such as on-site security, CCTV, etc.

Can you feed giraffes at the Omaha zoo?
Yes, Giraffe feedings are $3 and happen on the weekends, weather permitting.
This zoo is very large and a great adventure for all ages. The walking is at times strenuous with inclines on the pathways, but all paved and smooth. The park itself is clean, well maintained, and has a large variety of animals in wonderfully kept habitats. There are plenty of interactive installments around the property, including feeding a giraffe, or riding a sky tram above the exhibits. Be sure to visit the aquarium! Well worth the long walk from the parking lot.
While not much happens during the first hour after they open, there is so much to see and do that many people with young children actually have to go back for a second day!
How many animals does the Henry Doorly Zoo have?
Henry Doorly Zoo is home to more than 17,000 animals of almost 1,000 different species and is spread out over 130 acres of land.
It’s a nice zoo, but we didn’t get to see many animals. Where are the elephants? So much space is dedicated to them, but we saw not even one.
This is an outstanding zoo with very good and spacious exhibits. Its definitely worth a visit. Its simply outstanding.
We managed to do the entire zoo from 10AM-5PM without exhausting out 8 and 1-year-olds. Worth it! We have a national zoo membership which made the trip more affordable. We recommend bringing your own food though.
